Rick Ross And MMG Press Conference: Talks Reebok, Release Dates, New Signee

Today Rick Ross and MMG held a press conference in NYC. So, if you couldn’t make it or you was unable to watch it live online you can check out the details below.

The conference was said to start at 1 p.m.EST buuuuut of course it didn’t start until a little after 2. Your host for this afternoon was none other than Elliott Wilson from Rap Radar. No more speculation about what the big announcements were.

Lyhor Cohen was on deck to announce the man of the hour Rick Ross. He pretty much spoke on Ross and crew work ethic and pretty much gave him praise on being unstoppable. It was pretty dope that Lyhor did the introduction since he stated he doesn’t publicly speak and hasn’t done anything like this since announcing Roc-A-Fella approximately 18-20 years ago!

Swizz Beatz was up next. He spoke on the venture with Rick Ross and Reebok. Ross will have his own line for “Big and Tall.” I don’t rock with Reebok nor am I a big or tall person, but I think that is actually a dope idea. There are plenty men out here that can’t find sportswear to fit their unique stature.

Then there was non other than Sean “Diddy” Combs. Honestly couldn’t tell you what his function was besides just talking about how good Rick Ross was, and to thank him for promoting Ciroc. *shrugs*

Now on to the main event…what the REAL reason(s) MMG held the press conference.
The ‘Bag Of Money‘ video will premiere today on 106 & Park. The MMG compilation album Self Made Vol. 2 will be released June 26. The long awaited God Forgives I Don’t will finally drop July 31st. Meek Mill debut album titled Dreams & Nightmares will drop August 28th. You can also look forward to another album from Wale Untitled January 2013. French Montana who as a joint Bad Boy/MMG deal was in attendance of course. You can expect his album Excuse My French July 17th. Last but not least welcome Omarion a.k.a Maybach O as the newest member of the MMG. According to Omarion he is now a “made man.” His whole speech was a bit over the top and way too dramatic to me. But, hey when you just signed with one of the biggest artist out I guess you are allowed that moment, ughn!
