Watch Jhene Aiko ‘Mirrors’ video if you looking for that new flavor in music. Jhene took some time off from touring with Nas and Lauryn Hill to give fans a new visual treatment directed by Topshelf Junior.
The highly reflective ballad was produced by Key Wane and penned by Jhene. Singing about the experience of taking a hard look at yourself in the mirror, Jhene said,
“I wrote a song to sing to myself … on days like these … when I look in the mirror and it disagrees….”.
This is my first time covering Jhene Aiko and checking out the video, I feel real stupid. I really like her style of music and the visuals were dope. She reminds me of a Cassie type of an artist which isn’t all that bad. I think Jhene is an artist we should pay attention to now and in the future.
